Crafted by Viñedos Singulares, Afortunado is a single varietal Verdejo made from vines located at an altitude of 900 metres above sea level, in the northern Spanish province of Segovia, belonging to the DO Rueda.
Harvested in mid October, the grapes were destemmed, cold-soaked and gently crushed. Then this Spanish white wine was fermented at a controlled temperature for 20 days.
Finally, Afortunado 2018 was aged on its lees to enhance its aromatic qualities.
Drink this white wine from Rueda over the next 18 months.
The Spanish white wine Afortunado has a clean, bright, pale straw-yellow colour.
This varietal Verdejo is intense. Notes of exotic fruit and citrus, some earthy nuances, hints of aromatic herbs and a dash of melon rind.
Savoury and crisp, this young white wine by Viñedos Singulares carries lots of tropical fruit, bitter herbs and flowers. Smooth texture, nice freshness and long finish.
