Usually harvested during the second half of October, once in the cellar the grapes were cold-soaked for several hours.
After that, this Spanish white wine was gently pressed and fermented for 20 days at a controlled temperature.
Finally, this Verdejo from Rueda produced by Viñedos Singulares was drawn off and aged for some months on its lees.
Drink Afortunado Magnum 2018 over the next 24 months.
The white wine Afortunado Magnum has a clean, bright wax yellow colour with some greenish glints.
This wine by Viñedos Singulares smells of tropical fruit, freshly cut grass, hay and ripe white fruit. A textbook Verdejo nose indeed!
Smooth and savoury, this white wine from Rueda suggests some vegetal and tropical remembrances, enlivened by a crisp acidity and a long, persistent finish with some gently bitter nuances.
|Our personal opinion||
Fresh and lively, Afortunado Magnum 2018 pairs excellently with Japanese food, pasta, and fish dishes. The 1.5 litre bottle makes it perfect for laid-back meetings with friends.
