Coming from low-yielding vines, the grapes of Aikarai Muscat were harvested by hand and gently crushed.
Then this young white wine from Penedès was sequentially fermented for a long period of time in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature. This procedure, that lasts 30 to 40 days, consists in adding several batches of lees at different moments through the fermenting process.
The result is an increase in aromatic complexity without losing the character and freshness that define the variety.
Drink Aikarai Muscat 2017 from Penedès within the next 18 months.
The white wine Aikarai has a bright, pale yellow colour with some greenish tinges.
This Muscat from Penedès smells of jasmine, roses and citrus, combined with remembrances of white fruit and aromatic herbs.
Savoury and palate-coating, this young white wine by Giró Ribot has an excellent balance and a great freshness. Remarkable acidity, with some intense flavours of citrus, flowers and bitter herbs and a medium, crisp finish.
|Our personal opinion||
The fresh Aikarai Muscat 2017 pairs excellently with foie, blue cheeses and white fish recipes.
