A lively Spanish red wine, Amaltea de Loxarel is produced by Masia Can Mayol. The grapes have been farmed following organic and biodynamic procedures.
Harvested by hand, it was cold-macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks.
After that, the wine was aged for 10 months in Hungarian oak barrels.
Finally, Amaltea de Loxarel 2015 was blended and bottled.

The red wine Amaltea de Loxarel has a cherry colour with a garnet rim.
This organic red wine by Masia Can Mayol suggests some intense, pure aromas of black and redcurrants, alongside aromas of withered vegetables, aromatic herbs, chocolate, leather and coffee.
Light and fruity, with remembrances of sour strawberries, spices, balsam, menthol and smoke. This blend of Merlot and Cab. Sauvignon from Penedès has some sweet, lively tannins, a refreshing acidity and medium finish with some lactic remembrances.
