The new vintage of this young Spanish white wine from the AT Roca winery comes with a new name. Previously known as Floral d'AT Roca, it now bears the name AT Roca Costers de Vinya.
Produced in the DO Penedès, this wine from Agustí Torelló Roca is a blend of mainly Macabeo, complemented with some Malvasia de Sitges and Xarel·lo. The first variety comes from 3 estates planted on the foothills of the Montserrat mountains. The Malvasia comes from a 2-hectare plot in Massís del Garraf, and the Xarel·lo is selected from a 1-hectare piece of land in Costers d'Ordal, a subzone of the DO Penedès. Both grow in soils with a high limestone content.
Separately vinified according to the variety, this organic white wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks for 25 days. After that, AT Roca Costers de Vinya 2018 was aged on its lees for 4 months. Then this white wine from Penedès was blended, bottled and aged for some weeks before its commercial release.
Clean and bright, the white wine AT Roca Costers de Vinya has a straw yellow colour with some golden tinges.
This enticing organic white wine from Penedès carries some floral aromas of geranium, orange blossom and gentian, nuanced by notes of peach, citrus and lime. AT Roca Costers de Vinya also suggests a delicate honey remembrance.
Fresh, crisp and slightly sweet, this white wine from AT Roca has a creamy texture and a lively acidity. Fruit, flowers and an original salty touch. Pleasant, dimly mineral finish.
