The red wine Baltasar Gracián Reserva is made from old-vines planted near the town of Calatayud, at altitudes between 800 and 1000 metres, in terraced plots composed mainly of pebble stones.
More specifically, tis Spanish red wine is made from a blend of Grenache - coming from 50 to 80-year-old vineyards harvested during the first half of October - and 20-year-old Syrah vines harvested along the second half of October.
After a meticulous harvest, the grapes were fermented in concrete tanks. Then this red wine from Aragón was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.

Pleasantly complex, this old-vines Grenache from Calatayud carries loads of vivid black fruit, nuanced by a bouquet of flowers, spices, moka, cocoa and leather. Dim mineral background with some toasted and balsamic tips.
This red wine by Bodegas San Alejandro is yummy, intense and smooth-textured. Good balance between fruit ageing, enlivened by some toasted and liquorice remembrances. Long finish with a mineral and herbal aftertaste.
