In the town of Jerez de La Frontera, in a plot called Pago de Balbaina, at an altitude of 150 metres above sea level, Bodegas Huerta de Albalá grows the grapevines from which Barbazul Blanco is produced.
A single varietal Chardonnay, the grapes were harvested by hand the grapes were first destemmed and then cold-soaked to extract colour and aromas.
After that, they were fermented in stainless steel tanks for 20 days. Then Barbazul Blanco 2018 was aged for 2 months on its lees.
Drink this young Spanish white wine from Cádiz within the next 2 years.
The wine Barbazul Blanco has a very bright, clean straw yellow colour with some greenish tinges.
Fresh and very expressive, this Chardonnay from Cádiz smells of orange blossom, peach compote, aromatic herbs, citrus and white flowers.
Juicy and fresh, this young white wine by Huerta de Albalá has a lively acidity and and a fruity character. Delightful remembrances of citrus, flowers and white fruit. Long finish.
