Produced by the Huguet de Can Feixes winery, this Spanish white wine is a single varietal Chardonnay coming from organically farmed vineyards.
The vineyards are located in one of the highest, freshest areas within the DO Penedès.
Manually harvested, the grapes of this Crianza white wine were meticulously selected both on site and in the cellar.
Made only from the "free-run" juice obtained after a gentle pressing, Can Feixes Chardonnay was fermented in new French oak barrels.
After that, this organic white wine was aged on its lees in the barrels for 8 months.
Finally, it was further aged for a minimum of 18 months in the bottle before its commercial release.
Drink Can Feixes Chardonnay 2017 until 2025.
Appearance | The organic white wine Can Feixes Chardonnay has an intense, bright golden colour with some amber tinges. |

Nose | This varietal Chardonnay from Penedès has a complex nose. Closed at the beginning, as the wine breathes we smell aromas of ripe white fruit, such as pears, apples, some pineapple, notes of spices, herbal hints -chamomile, eucalyptus- and a mineral background. We also find notes of vanilla, toast and biscuits. |
Palate | Creamy and smooth, this white wine by Huguet de Can Feixes has a silky texture and an interesting complexity. Notes of ripe white fruit, flowers and balsam, combined with remembrances of pastry and dry fruit. Very good acidity, great freshness and long finish with some remembrances of menthol and citrus. |
Our personal opinion | An elegant, expressive Penedès white wine, Can Feixes Chardonnay 2017 is confidential and exquisite. Limited production. |

Once the undisputed queen of white grapes, Chardonnay's reputation seems to have diminished lately. If you want to recall why you loved Chard in the first place, I recommend that you try this one.
Despite the price, I thought I'd give this Chard a try. The wine is actually very good. Limpid and very fresh. It will grow in the bottle.
Classy Chardonnay, not unworthy of its Californian peers. Smooth, spicy, very sophisticated and utterly rewarding.
