This is the new vintage of Cantallops Xarel·lo, produced by Agustí Torelló Sivill & Agustí Torelló Roca. An inquisitive team of father and son who started their own brand several years.
After the harvest, the grapes were fermented with indigenous yeasts. Then 70% of the wine was aged on its lees in French oak barrels, and the rest was aged in egg-shaped concrete vats. Both were aged for 8 months.
Finally, this Xarel·lo from Penedès was bottled unfiltered and aged for a further months before its release.
Drink this organic white wine through 2025. We suggest that you aerate Cantallops Xarel·lo d'AT Roca 2018 30 minutes before you drink it.

The white wine Cantallops Xarel·lo from the AT Roca winery has a pale yellow colour with some golden tinges.
First thing we notice in this organic Xarel.lo is a deep smokey and mineral background, nuanced by aromas of pears and apples and a touch of aniseed. Rich and intrincate, this Vi de Coster also suggests some remembrances of bitter herbs, pastry and and fine lees.
Fresh and savoury, this organic white wine is layered, smooth, and has a very good acidity. Citrus, delicate notes of honey and butter, remembrances of fennel and a touch of bitter herbs and spices. This wine by Agustí Torelló Roca has a long, mineral finish.
