Crafted by the Quinta de la Quietud winery, Corral de Campanas is made from young Tinta de Toro estate vineyards located in the town of Toro, at the heart of the Designation of Origin that bears the same name.
The plants grow in very poor soils, at an altitude over 700 metres above sea level.
Harvested by hand at dawn, first the grapes of this Spanish red wine were destemmed and crushed. Then they were cold-soaked for 2 days, fermented at a controlled temperature and macerated for 2 weeks. After that, half of the wine was aged in 90% American and 10% French oak barrels-30% new-for 12 months. The other half was microoxygenated in vats.
Decant Corral de Campanas 2016 30 minutes before drinking. Drink until 2024.
The wine Corral de Campanas has a clean, bright, high cherry robe with purple tinges and a violet hue at the rim.
Very lively, this organic red wine from Toro smells of bilberries and cranberries. This Tinta de Toro red wine also suggests some notes of milky candies, cocoa, toast, exotic spices and Tahitian vanilla.
Meaty and smooth on the palate, this Crianza red wine by Quinta de la Quietud carries loads of red fruit, remembrances of underbrush, a lively acidity and round, sweet tannins. Despite its big structure, the wine is fresher than one might think. Finish is long and clean, with a pleasant, spicy aftertaste.
|Our personal opinion||
A not-so-bold Toro is something to welcome. Corral de Campanas 2016 is substantial, but also drinkable and inviting.

Robust and jolly wine!! It will uplift your soul and make you feel like a million dollars!
Very good for the price. This is all wild berries, with a touch of spices and a sort of grainy dimension that I've found in other wines from Toro and I very much like.
