Details

Produced by one of the best-known Spanish wineries, Coto de Imaz Reserva is made in La Rioja.

This Spanish red wine by El Coto de Rioja is made entirely from Tempranillo vineyards located in the town of Cenicero (Rioja Alta).

Previously destemmed, the grapes were cold-macerated for 18 days in stainless steel tanks.

After that, the wine was fermented at a controlled temperature and subsequently aged for 18 months in 225-litre American oak barrels.

Finally, this reserve red wine was aged for a further 18 months in the bottle before its commercial release.

Drink Coto de Imaz Reserva 2014 over the next 4 years.

Additional Information

Appearance

The red wine Coto de Imaz Reserva has an intense, bright cherry color with some ruby edges.

Nose

This reserve red wine suggests some pleasant aromas of fleshy red fruit with a touch of liquor. In this wine by El Coto de Rioja we also perceive expressive leather remembrances, and hints of bitter cocoa, toast, spices and withered leaves.

Palate

A nice Tempranillo from Rioja. This is tasty, easy to drink and well-balanced, with a silky texture. This Reserva Coto de Imaz leaves remembrances of liquorice, chocolate, wild berries and spices. Ripe tannins and medium finish.

Our personal opinion

Always a wise buy, Coto de Imaz Reserva 2014 is perfect to share with friends.
