This is the first Spanish white wine produced by Crápula Wines, a winery known for its intense red wines.
Gabriel Martínez Valero decided to produce a single varietal Sauvignon Blanc from low-yielding vineyards located at an altitude of 700 metres and planted on very poor limestone soils.
The grapes of Crápula White were destemmed and macerated for 10 hours at a low temperature.
After that, they were pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Finally, this white wine from Jumilla was clarified with egg whites and delicately filtered.
Drink Crápula White 2016 until 2019.
Crápula White has a clean, bright, straw yellow colour with some greenish tinges.
This white wine from Jumilla shows a typical Sauvignon Blanc character. Aromas of herbs and vegetables combine with aromas of tropical fruit, flowers and dim mineral notes.
Fresh, savoury and very nimble on the palate. This white wine by Crápula Wines leaves some intense remembrances of citrus and flowers. It has a good acidity and a long finish reminiscent of herbs.
|Our personal opinion||
Let's enjoy this Crápula White 2016 from Jumilla with shrimp, fish dishes or Paella. Three great pairings.
