Details

This is the new vintage of Emilio Moro, a classic Crianza Spanish red wine from Ribera del Duero.

A single varietal Tinta Fina, the queen variety of the region, it is produced from vines 15 to 25 years of age planted in three kinds of soils.

Meticulously harvested both in the vineyard and in the cellar, the grapes were macerated with the skins for 15 days.

Then this red wine of the Emilio Moro winery was fermented in stainless steel tanks, transferred into French and American oak barrels, and aged for 12 months.

Decant this red wine from Ribera del Duero 30 minutes before drinking.

The wine Emilio Moro 2017 perfectly embodies the traditional style of the region.

Additional Information

Appearance

The wine Emilio Moro has a bright cherry colour with a violet rim.

Nose

This Crianza red wine is elegant and expressive. A dash of cranberries and bilberries, typical of a Tinta Fina, alongisde remembrances of lavender, dry earth, tree bark, spices, balsam and toast.

Palate

Smooth and fresh, there are flavours of ripe red fruit, toast, cocoa, moka and underbush. This wine from the Emilio Moro winery is well-balanced, zippy and pleasant, with some ripe tannins, good grip and a long, palate-cleansing finish.

Our personal opinion

The perfect companion for grilled meats, Emilio Moro 2017 is a textbook Ribera del Duero.

    Value

This is the definition of class and equilibrium. Everything is in the right place. The fruit, the wood and the price.
