Details
Crafted in Barbastro, a town belonging to the DO Somontano, 12 Lunas is a blended Spanish a red wine produced by the El Grillo y la Luna winery.
The composition is 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Tempranillo, 13% Grenache and a tiny amount of Syrah (3%).
Harvested at an optimal ripening point, each of the varieties of this red wine from Somontano were vinified separately in stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control.
Afterwards, the different wine musts were fermented, macerated with the skins to increase their volume and creaminess, and put into 2nd and 3rd year 225-litre French oak barrels to complete an ageing process with an average length of 9 months.
Finally, 12 Lunas 2017 was blended and filtered through gravity prior to bottling.
