Red Wine 12 Lunas 2017

Harvested at an optimal ripening point, each of the varieties of this red wine from Somontano were vinified separately in stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control.
Afterwards, the different wine musts were fermented, macerated with the skins to increase their volume and creaminess, and put into 2nd and 3rd year 225-litre French oak barrels to complete an ageing process with an average length of 9 months.
Finally, 12 Lunas 2017 was blended and filtered through gravity prior to bottling.
The red wine 12 Lunas has a clean, bright, high cherry-coloured robe with a garnet rim.
Fresh and expressive, this Crianza red wine shows prominent notes of red berries and liquor infused fruits. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Grenache and Syrah also insinuates vanilla, clove and cardamom, with some menthol and balsam remembrances.
The wine enters gently, almost shyly on the palate. This wine from El Grillo y la Luna has a medium body with velvety tannins and an elegant acidity that makes it extremely drinkable and pleasant. Liquorice, plums, toast and dry earth. Medium finish with some mineral and spicy remembrances.
