Product Description

The family-run winery Celler Solano presents the new vintage of 600 Metros Sa Forana.

Based in the peaceful, quaint island of Menorca, the winery produces this Spanish red wine from a blend of Ull de Llebre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.

The grapes come from vines grown in rocky soils, and located in the southeast area of the island. After the harvest, this red wine from Menorca was separately vinified and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The Syrah underwent malolactic fermentation and a 2-month ageing period in French oak barrels, while the rest of the grapes completed the process in the tanks.

Finally, 600 Metros Sa Forana 2017 was blended and bottled.

Drink until 2022.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The red wine 600 Metros Sa Forana has a bright red colour with a violet rim.

Pleasant and mild, this Menorca red wine conveys some fresh, juicy notes of spices, toast, wild berries, liquorice and menthol over dim mineral undertones.

A balanced combination of creamy, spicy notions and aromas red and black fruit, black olives, vegetables and underbrush. This wine from Celler Solano has some lively tannins, tense acidity and long, balsamic finish.

Our personal opinion

Uncomplicated and exceedingly drinkable, 600 Metros Sa Forana 2017 from Menorca, transmits the discreet charm of its land of origin.

Nice wine, made in a rather international style, but good anyway.
