The grapevines are planted in mostly sandy-clayey slopes and terraces in the Avia Valley. Climate is Atlantic, with a high humidity.
After the harvest, the grapes of this white wine from Ribeiro were cold-macerated, gently pressed, drawn-off and blended. The resulting wine must was then fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Finally, 7 Cupos 2019 was bottled and aged for a brief time in the cellar prior to its commercial release.
This Galician white wine is excellently-priced and rather versatile.
The Spanish white wine 7 Cupos from Ribeiro has a clean, bright, straw yellow colour with some steely tinges.
Original and characteristic, this blend of Treixadura, Godello, Albariño, Loureiro, Caíño Blanco and Torrontés smells of fresh white fruit, citrus, and tropical fruit. There is a rich background of aromatic herbs, dim mineral hints, and even a salty note.
Great freshness, combined with a delicately unctuous body and a savoury character. This young white wine of the Casal de Armán winery combines fruit and minerality in an harmonious way. We also perceive notes of white flowers and some dim herbal notions. Long, slightly bitter finish with a saline twist.
|Our personal opinion||
The Galician white wine 7 Cupos 2019 is an excellent native blend from Ribeiro, a region that produces some of the best white wines in Spain.
