Product Description

Produced in DO Conca de Barberà by bodega Abadía de Poblet, a brand of Grupo Codorníu, Abadía de Poblet Blanc is made solely from local varieties.

Specifically, the 2017 vintage of this Spanish white wine is a blend of Macabeo and Parellada sourced from old, low-yielding vineyards located at altitudes 550 to 700 metres above sea level.

The grapes were picked by hand in 16 kg boxes. Once in the cellar, they went through the sourcing table and then they were fermented in concrete tanks. After that, the wine was racked in order to remove the gross lees and leave the fine ones.

Finally, Abadía de Poblet Blanc 2017 was aged for some months in the tanks, with weekly stirrings during the first two months,

Clean and bright, the white wine Abadía de Poblet Blanc is medium straw with some steely reflections.

Balanced and smooth, this wine from bodega Abadía de Poblet is fruit-driven and gently floral, with some subtle earthy and mineral notes and a long, slightly bitter finish.
