Produced by Acústic Celler, Acústic Blanc takes the word "indigenous" to the next level.
Indeed, this Spanish white wine crafted by winemaker Albert Jané is made from a blend of 60% White Grenache, 25% Macabeo, 10% Grey Grenache ("Garnatxa Roja") and 5% Pansal (a.k.a Xarel·lo). The grapes come from 40 to 80-year-old grapevines planted at an altitude of 700 metres, in the heart of the DO Montsant.
Harvested by hand and carefully selected, the grapes were cold-macerated for 48 hours prior to fermentation. Alcoholic fermentation of this Montsant white wine took place in stainless steel tanks (70% of the wine must), while the rest was fermented in new French oak barrels and aged for 3 months in lees.
Aerate Acústic Blanc 2018 30 minutes before drinking.
Appearance | The wine Acústic Blanc has a bright, clean yellow colour with some steely tinges. |

Nose | This blend of White Grenache, Macabeo, Grey Grenache and Xarel·lo exhibits some complex, fresh notes of white fruit, citrus and tropical fruit, combined with remembrances of white flowers and aromas of Mediterranean undergrowth and some mineral undertones. |
Palate | Complex and silky, this white wine partially fermented in oak produced by Acústic Celler combines notes of white fruit with suggestions of spices, citrus and smoke. Very good acidity and long, slightly bitter finish. |
Our personal opinion | A faithful portrait of the terroir of Montsant, Acústic Blanc 2018 is fresh and engaging. |
