The well-known Agustí Torelló Mata Reserva Brut is a classic, nicely crafted Spanish sparkling wine produced by the Agustí Torelló Mata winery.
The wine was traditionally vinified, with secondary fermentation taking place in the bottle. After that, it was aged for a minimum of 36 months.
As with all of Agustí Torelló Mata's sparkling wines, the disgorging date of Agustí Torelló Mata Reserva Brut 2018 is printed on the back label.
This is a nicely priced, delicious organic Cava from Penedès.
The Cava Agustí Torelló Mata Reserva is medium straw with some golden tinges.
Clean notes of white fruit, aromatic herbs, balsam and menthol. Aromatic and inviting, this blend of Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada also suggests remembrances of honey and pastry.
This Cava from Agustí Torelló Mata is fresh and wonderfully drinkable, with some tiny bubbles and notes of ripe white fruit, baked apples, citrus and herbs. Dim mineral undertones, very good acidity and a long, toasted finish.

A not-so-dry, gentle Cava, Agustí Torelló Mata 2018 is great with appetizers and as an afterwork drink.
