Since it produces fresh, characterful and moderately alcoholic wines, the Trepat variety is being increasingly used in the production of Spanish sparkling wines.
Traditionally vinified, the grapes were first macerated for 8 hours. After the completion of alcoholic fermentation, Agustí Torelló Mata Rosat Trepat 2019 was bottled. Then it completed secondary fermentation and was aged for a minimum of 22 months in the cellar.
As with all the wines of Agustí Torelló Mata, the disgorging date of this organic rosé Cava is printed on the back label.

The rosé cava Agustí Torelló Mata Rosat Trepat is bright rosy with some violet tinges.
Juicy notes of wild berries and strawberries, typical of the Trepat variety, alongside aromas of mint, thyme, flowers and some remembrances of dry fruit and spices.
Tthis rosé Cava of Agustí Torelló Mata is fresh and gently creamy. Fine lees, white pepper, red cranberries, pastry and aromatic herbs. Well-integrated, tiny bubbles and a very good acidity, with a a long, delicately bitter finish.

Nicely priced and nicely packaged, Agustí Torelló Mata Brut Rosat Trepat 2019 is a lovely rosé sparkler.
