Produced by the Albet i Noya winery, Albet i Noya Lignum Negre is made from a blend of 3 grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Merlot, coming from 3 different estates located in Serra de l'Ordal, in the very heart of Penedès.
Harvest was carried out manually. Once in the cellar, this Spanish red wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks with daily pump-overs. After that, it was aged for 12 months in 225-litre, mostly French, but also American oak barrels.
Once the process was completed, this organic red wine from Penedès was gently filtered, stabilized and aged for a further 4 months in the bottle before its release.

Expressive and straightforward, this crianza red wine has a fresh, lively profile. Loads of red and black fruit nuanced by remembrances of flowers and spices, particularly vanilla and cocoa. On the background, Lignum displays some notes of herbs and balsam.
Fresh and savoury, this wine by Albet i Noya is fruit-driven and medium-bodied, with some toasted and spicy remembrances, a good acidity and some sweet tannins. This organic red wine from Penedès has a medium-long finish with an aftertaste of balsam and garrigue.
