Product Description
Details

Produced by the Joan d'Anguera winery, Altaroses is a varietal Grenache wine made from vineyards which have been organically and biodynamically farmed since 2012.

Situated in the heart of DO Montsant, the Demeter certified vineyards have clayey, rocky and limestone soils.

Hand-picked and carefully selected, the grapes were fermented in concrete diposits for 12 days. Before going through malolactic fermentation, this Spanish red wine was macerated for 15-20 days.

After that, Altaroses 2021 was aged in used wooden barrels for 12 months.

Naturally stabilized by the winter cold, this organic red wine was bottled unfiltered. Finally, it was aged for 6 months before hitting the market.

Aerate this red wine from Montsant some time before drinking.

This varietal Grenache wine feels pure and amazingly fresh. Pristine aromas of red berries and flowers, with hints of aromatic herbs, underbrush, balsam and dry earth.

Delicate and inviting, Altaroses 2021 presents a side of Montsant which has rarely been seen before.

Understated and unspoofulated, this is Montsant at its unoaked, anti-international best. Will keep drinking this.
