Josep Mitjans, owner and head winemaker of Masia Can Mayol, believes passionately in the benefits of organic farming.
One of the first winemakers in Penedès to implement biodynamic procedures in Catalonia, the young white wine Amaltea Blanc de Loxarel shows the excellent results of that commitment.
Coming from DO Penedès, this Spanish white wine is made from a blend of White Grenache, sorted from vines located in Pla de Manlleu, and Xarel·lo, coming from vines located in Vilobí del Penedès, in the vicinity of the winery.
Traditionally vinified, Amaltea Blanc de Loxarel 2021 was fermented in stainless steel tanks.
In order to preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit, it was not aged in oak after the completion of alcoholic fermentation.
