Organic red wine from Penedès, blend of Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon and Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo) aged for 10 months in Hungarian oak barrels.

Picked by hand, the grapes were first cold-macerated and then fermented in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks. After that, the wine completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 10 months in Hungarian oak barrels. Finally, Amaltea de Loxarel 2019 was blended and bottled.
This is a lively, gentle organic red wine from Penedès.
The red wine Amaltea de Loxarel is cherry red, with a garnet rim.
This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Ull de Llebre suggests some intense, pure aromas of blackcurrants and redcurrants, alongside notes of withered vegetables, aromatic herbs, chocolate, leather and coffee.
Light and fruity, with remembrances of sour strawberries, spices, balsam, menthol and smoke. This wine from Masia Can Mayol, aka Loxarel, has some sweet, lively tannins, a refreshing acidity and medium finish with some lactic remembrances.
