Red Wine Artuke Paso Las Mañas 2018
Availability: In stock
Belonging to the Vinos de Parcela collection, the wine is made from young, organically grown Tempranillo vineyards planted in 2003 in a estate called Paraje El Chorro. The new vines are a massal selection of old Tempranillo clones from Finca de los Locos.
Harvested by hand and selected on site, the grapes of this Spanish red wine were traditionally vinified. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation took place in 2nd year 500-litre French oak barrels, where Artuke Paso Las Mañas 2018 was aged for 14 months.
We suggest that you aerate this Crianza red wine some time before you drink it.
Production slightly over 2,000 bottles.
This Rioja red wine has an elegant ruby colour. Artuke Paso Las Mañas has a high robe, clean and bright.
An expressive Crianza red wine, reminiscent of blueberries and damsons, nuanced by spices and smoke. This Tempranillo has a vivid balsamic character, and a dimly mineral side which is quite appealing.
Medium-bodied, cheerful and very savoury, with a smooth passage and a personality which is neither overbearing nor banal. Free-breathing and fluid, with a crisp acidity and delicate tannins. Nicely balanced, this red wine of Bodegas Artuke has a long, fruit-driven finish, with some mineral and toasted notes.
|Our personal opinion||
Immensely enjoyable, whether without food or pairing it with cured meats, stews or rice dishes, Artuke Paso Las Mañas 2018 is a nice addition to the winery's highly interesting portfolio.

Artuke is speedily becoming one of my favourite Rioja wineries - the other being DSG Vineyards. - Both of them truly are a breath of fresh air in a region badly in need of it.
