Red Wine Arzuaga Reserva 2018

The main ingredient of Arzuaga Reserva is Tinto Fino, nuanced by small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes were mostly sourced from almost centenary vines planted in clay-limestone soils at 900 metres above sea level. The blend also includes a small amount of Tinto Fino grapes coming from young vineyards scattered across the province of Valladolid.
Harvested by hand and carefully selected on site and in the cellar, the grapes were partially destemmed, cold-macerated and slowly fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, Arzuaga Reserva 2018 was transferred into new French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 30 months.

The red wine Arzuaga Reserva is medium purple with a crimson rim.
This blend of Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot needs some time to open up, after which it conveys a deep sense of terroir, nicely balanced by the ageing notes. Understated aromas of spices, flowers, toast and Havanna cigars, underlying a solid core of black fruit, balsam and dry earth.
This wine from Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro is serious and dignified, with a smooth body and a crisp, stimulating acidity. Characterstic and very well-defined, with layers of blackcurrants and blackberries, some balsamic and scrubland remembrances and a long, deeply mineral finish.
