Details
A wine from bodega Serra i Barceló, the personal project of winemaker Josep Serra in DO Terra Alta, the wine Aucalà Negre is a blend of principally Grenache, complemented with some Carignan.
Produced following a minimal intervention approach, this Spanish red wine comes from certified organic vines over 50 years old.
Meticulously selected, the grapes were macerated and fermented in 8,000-litre stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with pump-downs and punch-overs. Then a 30% of this red wine from Terra Alta was aged for 6 months in 3rd and 4th year French oak barrels, while the rest remained in the tanks.
Finally, the red wine Aucalá Negre 2021 was fined using non-animal fining products. This is thus a vegan red wine.

| Palate | Smooth-bodied and agile, this wine from bodega Serra i Barceló has some slim tannins and an excellent acidity. Very savoury, it has a long finish with some balsamic and toasted remembrances. |
