The name of the winery aptly reminds us that its vineyards located near the former Via Augusta, the Roman road that connected Rome with Tarraco, the imperial capital located in southern Catalonia.
Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the grapes were separetely harvested and vinified. The Cabernet grapes were macerated for 2 weeks, and the Merlot ones were macerated for 8 days. After that, each must was fermented and aged for 18 months in 300-litre French oak barrels.
After that, Augustus Reserva Trajanus 2017 was blended and aged for a further 12 months in barrels.
Finally, this organic red wine was bottled and aged for a minimum of 24 months before hitting the market.

The red wine Augustus Reserva Trajanus is deep ruby with some reddish tinges.
Rather complex and nuanced, this blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot suggests some smokey and toasted notions, a dash of black fruit and a bouquet of flowers, giving way to aromas of spices, toffee and vanilla. In the background, some earthy and mineral remembrances and aromas of aromatic herbs and Havanna cigars.
Complex, full-bodied and intense, the texture of this wine from Cellers Avgvstvs Forvm is smooth, and acidity is excellent. Tannins are ripe, and finish is very long, with remembrances of spices, fruit and some smokey and mineral notes.
