Red Wine Baigorri Reserva 2014
Availability: In stock
A classic Spanish red wine from La Rioja, Baigorri Reserva is produced from old Tempranillo vines.
Meticuloulsy harvested and carefully transported to the cellar, after two selection processes only the very best grapes were selected to make this Spanish red wine.
Cold-soaked in stainless steel tanks to extract a high concentration of colour, tannins and flavour out of the skins, the grapes were then delicately crushed by pneumatic press, fermented and transferred into new French oak barrels.
After the completion of malolactic fermentation, this Rioja red wine from Bodegas Baigorry was aged for 18 months in those same barrels. Finally, Baigorri Reserva 2014 was aged for a further years in the cellar prior to being launched onto the market.
Decant this reserva red wine from Baigorri 1 hour before drinking.
Appearance | The red wine Baigorri Reserva has a dark cherry colour with violet tinges and a ruby hue at the rim. |

Nose | The nose of this varietal Tempranillo is a Rioja textbook. Ripe red fruit and underbrush, with an earthy touch and notes of vanilla, Moroccan leather, Havana cigars, bitter cocoa, clove, cinnamon and exotic spices. |
Palate | Sweet and meaty, with a smooth texture. This Reserva red wine has been smoothed by the years, though the long ageing process has not diminished its vitality. Juicy wild berries, hints of spices, balsamic notes and touches of liquorice. Crisp and fresh, this wine of Bodegas Baigorri has a long finish with some mineral remembrances. |
Our personal opinion | A modern Rioja classic, Baigorri Reserva 2014 is a wine that one could drink every day without ever getting tired of it. |
