Product Description

This interesting Spanish red wine from Alicante is a varietal Garnacha Tintorera, a grape internationally known as Alicante Bouschet.

Produced by Bodegas ArráezBala Perdida is made from over 35-year-old vines planted in poor soils at 650 metres.

After the harvest, the wine was fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks.

Finally, Bala Perdida 2019 was aged for 4 months in American and Hungarian oak barrels.

The name of the wine, incidentally, is a reference to David Carradine's last film role, a western shoot in Valencia in 2007.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The wine Bala Perdida has a clean, bright cherry colour with a violet rim.

Intense aromas of juicy red fruit, typical of Garnacha Tintorera (aka Alicante Bouschet), alongside notes of vanilla and cinnamon and nuances of underbrush and dry earth.

Joyful and savoury, this red wine from Bodega Arráez is full of red fruit, garrigue and spices. Nicely balanced, with a good acidity and a medium finish.

Our personal opinion

The fresh, gulpable Bala Perdida 2019 pairs excellently with tapas, cold cuts or medium-aged cheeses. A perfect match.

When not suffocated by oak, Garnacha Tintorera produces highly-coloured, incredibly lively wines. This one is simply great!!
