Product Description

An irresistible Spanish red wine bearing the label Tierra de Cádiz, Barbazul Mágnum comes from Spain's southernmost province, one of the most charming, magical places in the country.

Like Taberner -the elder, more respectable brother of this wine- Barbazul is made from a judicious blend of grape varieties: Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and a touch of the indigenous Tintilla de Rota.

Each of the varieties was separately vinified in stainless steel tanks. After that, this red wine by the Huerta de Albalá winery was aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.

Bear in mind that this Barbazul 2017 Mágnum (1,5 litre-bottle) has a foreseeably longer ageing potential than the 0,75-litre bottle. Drink over the next 6 years.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The red wine Barbazul Mágnum has a medium, bright cherry-coloured robe with a violet rim.

This red wine from Cádiz is fresh and exuberant. Juicy ripe fruit, aromas of vanilla, cinnamon and clove and, on the background, notions of aromatic herbs and balsam.

Savoury and pleasant, this Magnum red wine by the Huerta de Albalá winery has a remarkably fruity character, some mild tannins and a crisp, refreshing acidity. Medium finish with some spicy and toasted remembrances underscoring a fruit that is simply succulent.

Our personal opinion

Immensely enjoyable, Barbazul 2017 Mágnum is a great party wine from Cádiz. It will please both the casual and the knowledgeable drinker.

Not twice as a good as the 75 ml bottle, but almost. I will buy this again and again.
