Product Description
Details

Produced by the Beronia winery, Beronia Reserva is made from estate-owned and peasant-owned vineyards, all located in the heart of La Rioja Alta.

Predictably, this Spanish red wine is made from Tempranillo (95%), complemented with a tiny amount of 4% Graciano, and 1% Mazuelo.

After being meticulously fermented, Beronia Reserva 2015 was aged for 20 months in American and French oak barrels.

Finally, this Reserva from La Rioja was aged for a further 16 months in the bottle before its commercial release.

This classic Rioja red wine will pair excellently with meat and cured cheeses.

Appearance

The red wine Beronia Reserva has a very bright, clean cherry colour with a ruby rim.

Nose

This classic Rioja red wine smells of ripe red fruit, blackberries, cocoa powder and Arabica coffee, combined with aromas of black pepper, caramel and Havanna cigars.

Palate

The entrance of this reserva by Beronia is straightforward and pleasant, and the wine shows a good acidity and silky tannins. This red wine by Grupo González Byass is defined by liquorice, wild berries, cherries and remembrances of cedar, underbush and toast. Fresh, medium finish.

Our personal opinion

Elegant and pleasant, Beronia Reserva 2015 is a quintessential Rioja.
