Cava Bertha S.XXI Brut Rosé 2016

After a meticulous harvesting process, the grapes, coming from estate-owned vineyards, were slightly crushed and underwent a pre-fermentation cold maceration process for 12 hours to extract the delicate rosy colour of this sparkler.
After that, this rosé Cava was fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Bottled with the addition of sugar and yeasts in order to complete secondary fermentation, the resulting wine was aged for 30-40 months on its lees. After its disgorging, this Cava Gran Reserva was completed with shipping liquor, in a proportion of 8 grams per litre.
A Mediterranean Pinot, Bertha s. XXI Brut Rosé 2016 is sophisticated and lively.
This Spanish rosé cava Bertha S.XXI Brut Rosé has a clean, bright, salmon-coloured robe with rosy tinges.
Lively aromas of cherries, pomegranate and black currants, typical of Pinot Noir. This sophisticated rosé Brut Cava also carries aromas of citrus, and hints of pastry and butter over a slightly herbal background.
Smooth and balanced, this rosé sparkling wine from Caves Bertha has some subtle, well-integrated bubbles and a remarkable acidity. Strawberries, redcurrants, citrus and pastry. Long finish and some notes of fruit and butter in the aftertaste.

An excellent Pinot sparkler, Bertha S. XXI Brut Rosé 2016 pairs excellently with rice dishes or, if you're feeling epicurean and want to indulge yourself, with chocolate fruit.
