Produced by Caves Blancher, a winery owned by the Carbó family, one of the oldest Cava producing dinasties, Blancher Obrac Gran Reserva Brut is an amazingly priced Spanish sparkling wine.
It is made from a traditional blend of Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada, alongisde a tiny amount of Pansa Blanca, a mutation of Xarel·lo indigenous to the DO Alella.
The grapes were cold-macerated and then fermented in stainless steel tanks. After that, Blancher Obrac Gran Reserva Brut 2016 underwent secondary fermentation and was aged for more than 3 years in the bottle.
This is an old-style, artisan cava gran reserva brut.
