White Wine Blanco Nieva Pie Franco Verdejo 2021
Availability: In stock
A varietal Verdejo wine, Blanco Nieva Pie Franco Verdejo is produced from low-yielding, ungrafted vines 80 to 100 years old.
They are planted in extremely poor soils at an altitude of 850 metres above sea level, in the province of Segovia, DO Rueda, an area with a harsh Continental climate.
The grapes were harvested by hand and selected on site. Then this Spanish white wine from Bodegas Martúe was fermented in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature.
After that, Blanco Nieva Pie Franco Verdejo 2021 was aged for 3 months on its lees.
Pair this white wine from Rueda with Asian food, pizza or creamy cheeses.
Very limited production.
The white wine Blanco Nieva Pie Franco is medium straw with some waxy tinges.
Pure and well-defined, this Verdejo wine suggests some fresh notes of white fruit, tropical fruit and withered flowers alongside aromas of fennel and hay over a mineral background.
Fresh and savoury, this white wine from Viñedos de Nieva, a brand of Bodegas Martúe, is packed with flavours of white fruit and citrus, with hints of aromatic herbs and some earthy and floral notes. Excellent acidity and a long, slightly bitter finish.
|Our personal opinion||
Smooth and complex, Blanco Nieva Pie Franco Verdejo 2021 is an uncommon Verdejo.
