Red Wine Bru de Verdú 2018
Red wine from Costers del Segre. Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo), Merlot & Sryah aged for 10 months in oak barrels.

First, they were destemmed and then they were fermented for about 4 weeks, with punch-downs performed 3-4 times a week.
After that, the wine was aged in new and used French, American and Hungarian oak barrels for 10 months. Before that process, it had completed malolactic fermentation in those same barrels.
Finally, this Bru de Verdú 2018 spent 30 days in diposits so that all its parts could come together. It was not filtered or stabilized before its bottling.
This Crianza red wine is a truly excellent value.
The wine Bru de Verdú has an intense red colour with a crimson rim.
Fresh notes of blackberries, mulberries and plums, nuanced by remembrances of toffee, moka, cocoa and some hints of smoke, dry earth, vegetables and underbush. The blend of Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo), Merlot and Syrah works really well.
Smooth and fresh, this red wine from Celler Cercavins begins by showing notes of spices and balsam, combined with remembrances of wild berries, garrigue, flowers, chocolate and some mineral touches. Well-balanced acidity, yummy tannins and long, smokey, balsamic finish.

Well-crafted and savoury, Bru de Verdú 2018 pairs very well with roasted meats and stews.
