Product Description
Details

Produced in DOQ Priorat,  Brugueres Blanc is a remarkably original Spanish white wine made in a land famed for its bold red wines.

A varietal White Grenache produced by Jordi Vidal, chief winemaker of bodega La Conreria d'Scala Dei, the grapes were sourced from estate-owned vineyards with the typical slate (llicorella) soils that characterize the region.

After the harvest, the grapes were cold macerated for 3-4 days prior to fermentation, which took place in stainless steel tanks.

After that, Brugueres Blanc 2020 was aged for 5 months on its lees. The wine was clarified before bottling.

Pair this Priorat white wine with oily fish recipes, white meat and creamy cheeses.

Appearance

The white wine Brugueres Blanc is medium yellow with some golden tinges.

Nose

Elegant notes of white flowers, aniseed, white pepper, pineapple, and bone fruit over a fresh, rich mineral background, typical of a White Grenache from Priorat.

Palate

Nicely crafted by bodega Conreria d'Scala Dei, the wine is creamy and savoury, with a great balance and a remarkable acidity. Dry fruit, white fruit, spices, citrus, some mineral remembrances and a floral touch. Long, fruity finish with an earthy tip.

Our personal opinion

Characterful and moreish, Brugueres Blanc 2020 is an elegant white Priorat.

My staple Priorat white. The combination of fruit and slate I find simply intoxicating.

This is a superb white wine from a place famous for red wines. Sleek, well-structured, very gentle on the palate, with fruit, a creamy touch and some earthy sensations. Top white!!
