Red Wine Brunus 2013 Magnum
Availability: In stock
One of the most celebrated wines produced in Montsant, Brunus 2013 Mágnum comes in a 1.5-litre bottle, thus highlighting its qualities even more.
The grapes come from 25 to 70-year-old vineyards located at an altitude of 700 metres on average.
Soils are mainly composed of clay, limestone and sand.
The grapes were harvested by hand and brought in little boxes to the facilities of the Portal del Montsant winery.
There they were destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 22 days with periodic pump-overs and punch-downs.
After that, the wine was aged in new and 2nd year French oak barrels for 12 months.
Brunus Mágnum 2013 will improve in the bottle for 7-9 years.
Decant the wine a minimum of 30 minutes before drinking.
Very bright, clean crimson colour with some garnet tinges.
Elegant, delicate aromas of flowers, red berries and mineral, combined with suggestions of aromatic herbs, garrigue, toffee, spices, liquorice and cocoa.
Full of character, but also extremely drinkable and approachable. Pure notes of red and black fruit, some mineral undertones and some remembrances of blue and red flowers. Well-balanced acidity, great freshness and some potential for improvement in the bottle. Long finish.
