Product Description
Details

Produced in Montsant, Brunus Magnum comes in a 1.5-litre bottle, a size which highlights the qualities of this Spanish red wine.

A blend of two indigenous varieties, 56% Carignan and 44% Grenache, this red wine from Montsant is produced from 25 to 70-year-old grapevines located at an altitude of 700 metres on average.Soils are mainly composed of clay, limestone and sand.

The grapes were harvested by hand and brought in little boxes to the facilities of the Portal del Montsant winery. There they were destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 22 days with periodic pump-overs and punch-downs.

After that, Brunus Magnum 2016 was aged in new and 2nd year French oak barrels for 12 months.

If properly stored, this wine will improve for some years in the bottle.

Sensational montsant

This wine is all about balance, freshness and drinkability. Grape extraction is measured, oak passes unnoticed, texture is great, there's the imprint of terroir and the finish is very long.
