White Wine Can Sumoi Perfum 2021

This is the new vintage of Perfum, produced by the Can Sumoi winery. The personal project of winemaker Pepe Raventós, head of bodega Raventós i Blanc, Can Sumoi aims to produce terroir-oriented, natural wines in a high-altitude environment.
Made from 30% Malvasia and 30% Moscatel de Grano Menudo (Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains), this Spanish white wine is complemented with Parellada & Macabeo. The grapes were harvested by hand separating plots and varieties, the Parellada being the latest of the three.
Destemmed and gently crushed, the wine must was fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 16ºC. After 16 days, Can Sumoi Perfum 2021 spontaneously underwent malolactic fermentation.
This blended organic white wine was not filtered or stabilized before being bottled.
The white wine Can Sumoi Perfum is medium straw with some steely reflections.
Quite expressive, this blend of Malvasía, Moscatel de Grano Menudo, Macabeo and Parellada carries aromas of flowers, juicy white fruit - notably white peaches and pressed grapes - over a subtle background of aromatic herbs.
Savoury and elegant, the of this young white wine of Can Sumoi is fruit-driven and nicely balanced. Besides the fruit and the herbs, there are some interesting suggestions of salt and honey that end in a yummy, fresh finish.

A delightful wine, Can Sumoi Perfum 2021 is wonderfully unemphatic and highly drinkable. A wine for any ocasion.
