Product Description
Details

The 2017 vintage of Casa de la Ermita Crianza from Jumilla is a blend of 60% Monastrell, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Syrah

Manually harvested, the grapes were selected on site and in the cellar. After that, they were cold-soaked in stainless steel tanks for about 5 days.

Once both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations were completed, this Crianza red wine was aged for 9 months in 225-litre American and French oak barrels.

A ridiculously good value crafted of the Casa de la Ermita winery, we suggest that you aerate Casa de la Ermita Crianza 2017 some time before you drink it.

Appearance

The red wine Casa de la Ermita Crianza has an intense, very bright cherry colour with some reddish glints.

Nose

Juicy aromas of black fruit, chocolate, black pepper and Mediterranean undergrowth. On the background, this blend of Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah suggests notes of vegetables, violets and some remembrances of dry earth and minerals.

Palate

This juicy Crianza of the Casa de la Ermita winery is delicious. Notes of cocoa, blackberries, tree bark, balsam and spices. Lively tannins, excellent, crisp acidity and long, uplifting finish with some forest-floor remembrances.

Our personal opinion

We'll say it again: Casa de la Ermita Crianza 2017 is actually too good for its price.
