Product Description

This is the new vintage of Cérvoles Negre, produced solely from grapes coming from Vinyes Altes de Les Garrigues, a vineyard located the Pre-Pyrenees area of Catalonia, belonging to the DO Costers del Segre

Incidentally, Cérvoles Celler, the producer of this Spanish red wine, is a member of the association of high-quality wine producers Grandes Pagos de España since 2002.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Ull de Lebre (Tempranillo), Merlot and Grenache, the vines are 30 years old on average. They are grown in sandy-clay soils with an abundance of gravel on the surface, at an altitude around 700 metres above sea level, with huge temperature differences between daytime and nighttime.

Harvested by hand, each variety was destemmed and separately vinified in steel tanks. After that, Cérvoles 2018 was blended and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.

Decant this Crianza red wine at least 20 minutes before drinking.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The red wine Cérvoles has an intense cherry colour with a purplish rim.

Remarkably complex, this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Ull de Llebre, Merlot and Grenache begins with aromas of cassis, plums and blackcurrants that slowly evolve into remembrances of clove, cardamom, cocoa and cinnamon, combined with notes of menthol, withered leaves, wet tobacco and some intense mineral overtones.

This remarkable wine from Cérvoles Celler has a smooth texture and a substantial volume. Liquorice, underbush, wild berries, black truffles, vegetables, spices and balsam. Tense acidity, ripe tannins and very long finish with remembrances of amarena cherries, menthol and toast. There are plenty of things to discover here.

Bordeaux-styled, but with a character of its own. Positively a very good wine.

red cerv
A high-altitude red wine from Cataluna. This is an extremely elegant and well-crafted wine, plenty of forest aromas and notes of licorice, cedar and fruit. Intense, yummy, classy!!
