Product Description

The Cava Codorníu Reina Mª Cristina Brut is a Blanc de Noirs made solely from Pinot Noir.

The grapes come from the oldest vineyards of the winery, 25 years of age, located in the region of Conca de Barberà.

Traditionally vinified, the grapes of this reserve Cava from Penedès were gently crushed and separated from the skins so the wine must was not coloured.

After that, the must was fermented, blended and added tirage liquor.

Then, Reina Maria Cristina Brut by Codorniu was bottled in order to complete secondary fermentation.

Finally, it was aged for 15 months in the cellar, disgorged and added shipping liquor.

Open the bottle 30 minutes before you drink it.

Drink Codorniu Reina M. Cristina 2015 from now until 2021.

Additional Information
Additional Information

Clean and bright, the cava Codorniu Reina Cristina Brut has a yellow colour with some golden tinges and some reddish nuances.

This Cava made from Pinot Noir combines aromas of white fruit (pears), yellow fruit (peaches, apricots) and red fruit (strawberries and redcurrants), with notes of white flowers, butter, dry fruit and pastry.

Fresh and delicate, this brut reserve cava is reminiscent of red berries, aromatic herbs, flowers and pastry. This Cava by Codorniu has a well-balanced acidity, some creamy, well-integrated bubbles and long, balsamic finish.

Our personal opinion

Made from Pinot Noir, arguably the king of red grapes, Codorníu Reina Mª Cristina Brut 2015 is a surprisingly good Cava.
