Red Wine Comalats Alosa 2019
Organic red wine from Costers del Segre. Varietal Cabernet Sauvignon.
Availability: In stock
Interestingly, this Spanish red wine is made from grapevines grown at an altitude over 700 metres, in the town of L'Ametlla de Segarra, following the guidelines of organic and biodynamic farming. Climate allows the grapes to ripen slowly and steadily, and also protects the plant from plagues. Soils are composed of clay and limestone.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were first macerated for 3 days in stainless steel tanks. Then this wine of Costers del Segre fermented spontaneously. After that, and in order to keep its varietal character intact, Comalats Alosa 2019 was bottled with no prior oak aging, filtration or clarification whatsoever.
This young unoaked red wine is joyously fresh.
The red wine Comalats Alosa has a cherry colour with some violet reflections.
Very pure, this varietal Cabernet Sauvignon smells of red berries and black fruit, with a note of underbrush over a dim mineral background.
Full of juvenile thrust, this wine of Celler Comalats is fruit-driven and totally smashable. Cranberries and raspeberries, with yummy tannins and an exceptional acidity. This organic red wine has a delicious finish with a note of aromatic herbs and a mineral remembrance.
|Our personal opinion||
An organic unoaked Cabernet Sauvignon - an interesting proposition in itself - Comalats Alosa 2019 will pair excellently with BBQ'd meats.
