Details
Produced by Celler Comalats, the wine Comalats Esparver is a made solely from Syrah. The grapes are sourced from organically and biodynamically farmed vines grown in clayey-limestone soils at an altitude over 700 metres, in the town of L'Ametlla de Segarra, southwest Catalonia, DO Costers del Segre.
The grapes were picked by hand. Then this Spanish red wine was vinified in the following manner. The grapes were macerated for 3 days in concrete tanks, after which the were destemmed, drawn-off and went through both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations.
After that, the wine Comalats Esparver 2022 was kept in the tanks the whole winter, during which period the wine was naturally clarified. It was bottled with no added sulfites.
Pleasant and well-balanced, this organic red wine from Costers del Segre will pair excellently with many kinds of food.
