Product Description
Details

This is the new vintage of Corimbo from Bodegas La Horra - the brand of Bodegas Roda in Ribera del Duero.

This varietal Tinta del País (aka Tempranillo) is made from a selection of the best grapes coming from 40 hectares of vineyards owned by local grape growers. All of them are planted at an altitude over 800 metres and are 20 years of age on average.

As usual, winemakers Mario Rotllant and Agustín Santolaya have crafted a Spanish red wine which, while displaying great drinkability, is also deep and nuanced.

After fermenting in stainless steel tanks and completing malolactic fermentation in French oak vats, Corimbo 2019 was aged in 80% French and 20% American oak barrels for 14 months.

Aerate this red wine from Ribera del Duero 1 hour before drinking.

Appearance

The red wine Corimbo is deep ruby with some bluish tinges.

Nose

This varietal Tinta del País carries aromas wild berries, moka, cocoa, coffee and Havanna cigars. In the background, some earthy notes and remembrances of pine needles and marjoram, a clear terroir imprint.

Palate

Smooth and silky, this wine from Bodegas La Horra has a very good acidity and silky tannins. There are some truly interesting details here, and texture is really nice. Fresh and lively, this Crianza red wine ends with a mineral note and some spicy and floral remembrances.
