Details
This is the new vintage of Coto de Hayas Sólo Tirio Syrah of Bodegas Aragonesas.
A varietal Syrah, this Spanish red wine was produced from vineyards 20 years old on average, grown at an altitude of 400-500 metres above sea level, in DO Campo de Borja, Aragón.
Harvested in late September, the grapes were first macerated for 8 to 10 days. Then a portion of them went through a demi-carbonic maceration process, while the rest were traditionally fermented.
After that, Coto de Hayas Sólo Tirio Syrah 2021 underwent malolactic fermentation. Finally, one third of the wine was aged for 2 months in oak barrels. Once bottled, it was aged for a brief period before hitting the market.
