This is the fourth vintage of Coto de Hayas Viñas del Cierzo, a Spanish red wine produced by Bodegas Aragonesas.
Separately harvested, the grapes were macerated and then fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Finally, this red wine from Campo de Borja was aged for some months before its release.

The red wine Coto de Hayas Viñas El Cierzo has a clean, bright, intense cherry colour with a purple rim.
This wine by Bodegas Aragonesas suggests some well-defined aromas of black and red fruit, smoke, black pepper and some mineral undertones. On the background the wine Coto de Hayas insinuates dim aromas of coffee and spices.
Smooth, yummy and delicately warm, Viñas del Cierzo caresses the palate with hints of cocoa, underbush, wild strawberries and sweet spices. This wine from Campo de Borja has a nice acidity and ripe tannins. Long finish.

Savoury and uncomplicated, Coto de Hayas Viñas del Cierzo 2014 is an excellent value from Aragón.
