Red Wine Coto de Imaz Gran Reserva 2012
Availability: In stock
From a vintage qualified as "Very Good", Coto de Imaz Gran Reserva is an absolute classic from La Rioja.
Once in the cellar, and after a meticulous selection, the grapes were destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, this red wine from La Rioja was transferred into French and American oak barrels, where it was aged for 24 months.
Finally, Coto de Imaz Gran Reserva 2012 was bottled and aged for a further 36 months in the cellar.
This is only produced in exceptional vintages. Over the last fifteen years, only the 2005, 2008 and 2010 vintages matched the quality standards required for producing this Grand Reserva red wine.
Decant 1 hour before drinking.
Drink until 2025.
The wine Coto de Imaz Gran Reserva has a nice ruby colour with a brick red hue.
Elegant and well-balanced, this Gran Reserva by Coto de Imaz suggests notes of red berries and black fruit, alongside some subtle spicy and balsamic nuances, some earthy notions and aromas of fine leather, roasted coffee, black truffles and wet earth.
Intense, delicately warm and classy, this Gran Reserva by El Coto de Rioja has a smooth, textured body and a nice passage through the palate. Some toasted and creamy nuances over a gentle layer of wild berries, highlighted by an earthy and mineral background. This blend of Tempranillo and Graciano has some silky tannins, an excellent acidity and a long, fresh, complex finish with some smokey and earthy remembrances.
