Product Description

The winemaker Gabriel Martínez Valero, head of Crápula Wines, made Crápula Gold 5 Meses from an equal blend of Monastrell and Syrah.

The vines grow in limestone soils with low levels of organic matter, at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level. Climate is Mediterranean-continental.

Belonging to the DO Jumilla, this Spanish red wine was vinified in stainless steel tanks at a temperature below 28ºC. Destemmed and gently crushed, the grapes were macerated for over a period of 10 days.

Afterwards, this red wine from Jumilla was aged for 5 months in French and American oak barrels.

Finally, Crápula Gold 5 Meses 2018 was clarified with egg whites, and naturally filtered through gravity before its bottling.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The red wine Crápula Gold 5 Meses has a bright, medium-high, cherry-coloured robe with a purplish rim.

This blend of Monastrell and Syrah is truly Mediterranean. Fresh aromas of ripe wild berries, over a thin layer of spices (vanilla, clove, cinnamon), herbs and toasted notes.

Easy and drinker-friendly, this wine of Crápula Wines has a creamy palate, some ripe tannins and some lively notes of fresh red fruit. Gentle and well-crafted, Crápula Gold has a medium finish with an aftertaste of ripe fruit and some spicy remembrances.

Our personal opinion

Uncomplicated and gulpable, Crápula Gold 5 Meses 2018 is an excellent table wine.

Fruit-driven, oak is not prominent. Drinks very well.
